SoloSeniors First Thursday Dinner Series     
SoloSENIORS meet the first Thursday of each month at Athens-area restaurants for the Thursday Night Dinner Series. The group meets at 6 p.m. to mingle and dinner follows at 6:30 p.m. This month's dinner will be at Knuckleheads Restaurant & Bar on Macon Highway. Mix and mingle with fellow UGA alumni and friends from the Gwinnett area at Bahama Breeze in Duluth. Join the Gwinnett County Chapter for a Dutch treat dinner. This is a great opportunity to get involved with your local Chapter and meet fellow bulldogs. Attendance is free, but registration is appreciated.

Denver SEC/ACC Golf Tournament     
Join alumni and friends May 3 at the Broadlands Golf Course for a golf showdown between the SEC and the ACC. Here's your chance to show the ACC what Georgia alumni are made of. You can register individually get a group together as a team.

Metro Atlanta Chapters Day at ''The Lion King''     
The UGA Alumni Association Metro Atlanta Chapters invite you to experience the phenomenon of Disney's, "The Lion King" with other UGA alumni and friends May 4. "The Lion King" is making a triumphant return to the Atlanta Civic Center stage.

Marvel at the breathtaking spectacle of animals brought to life by award-winning director Julie Taymor, whose visual images for this show you'll remember forever.

Thrill to the pulsating rhythms of the African Pridelands and an unforgettable score including Elton John and Tim Rice's Oscar-winning songs, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Circle of Life." Please register via the online registration form.

UGA-GT Challenge Benefiting Children's Healthcare     
By taking part in the UGA-GT Challenge, you can win one for your team and the young patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Alumni and fans of the University of Georgia and the Georgia Institute of Technology will sell tickets to the annual Spring Baseball Classic for Kids featuring UGA and GT May 13 at Turner Field. Proceeds from the event's ticket sales benefit Children's, a not-for-profit pediatric healthcare organization. As a UGA Challenge volunteer, you'll be distributing order forms with ticket package options to your contacts. You can volunteer at your own pace and work toward incentives as an individual or a team. Children's will handle all the orders, including payment processing and distribution of tickets. Your time commitment is minimal, but your involvement will make a significant difference in the lives of the many young patients at Children's. Join fellow UGA alumnae and friends for the Terry Third Thursday Speaker Series with Kate Atwood, founder of Kate's Club, an organization that empowers children and teens who are facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. A UGA Alumni Association Chapter is forming in the Charleston area where there are more than 1,200 UGA graduates. The Chapter will be lead by Denise Ciccarelli '93 who will help organize activities allowing alumni to network, participate in community service projects, assist with the Admissions efforts and celebrate everything Bulldogs love. Fulton County Chapter SCAN 5K Walk/Run for Skin Cancer Awareness     
Join fellow Bulldogs May 24 at the Second Annual Save Our Skin - Skin Cancer Awareness - SOS 5K Run/Walk at Perimeter Place.
